The priest lead Nox through into a deeper part of the building, more basements, he wondered how far they went. Nox wondered if they were parts of the same tunnels he had met Aria. The smell was musty and it was much different that walls above. The stacked stone looked old, and was rough to the touch, in some places Nox saw water dripping from the edges of the rocks.

There wasn't much in the ways of furnishing, a stone altar, a cedar chest, and very little else. Nox took a deep breath and swallowed hard as he saw the robes unfurled from their silver lining. He was really doing this. His father and mother had both done this, as had generations before him. But this was the first preformed by the Regus himself. Which made Nox wonder about the official nature of things in the Americas. It was all very confusing.

The father departed and Nox looked to Aria. She smiled at him with knowing eyes. Her so-called ability was a bit hard to comprehend still. And he had a lot to relearn, but she had been right, it was probably best with in the ranks instead of outside. At least he had someone who understood, and Aria seemed to understand better than others. His secret was now hers, and he held hers too. Both monsters within the halls of the men and women who hunted them down. It was definitely going to be an interesting journey.

"You be around later? I'd prefer if you showed me around than someone else."
Nox hoped she understood.

Aria smiled. "Probably, but you've my number, call anytime."
She looked like she didn't want to be around at all, he didn't blame her, not really.

Nox pulled his shirt over his head, expecting Aria to avert her eyes or blush or something, but she just watched him with a smile and nodded. It was her cue to leave. He hadn't meant it as that, but he also hadn't expected the seemingly shy and quiet girl to not react. He had a lot to learn it seemed.

Nox looked at the robe with hope and worry and just plain curiosity. He pulled the robe over his head and the inside was soft against his skin but the outside looked very rough. The cowl of the robe came pulled down over his eyes and he heard the door open behind him.

Nox turned around, it was fear, hope, panic and every other possible emotion that coursed through his body, he wasn't sure if he should be afraid or excited. He wished he could remember if his dad had said anything of this day. The figure that came in opened the second door beyond and beckoned he follow.

Nox took a deep breath and walked through the door, and closed it behind him. Today, he officially became Atharim.
