Aye, the idea here is that the initial containment plan for arrested Channelers would be drugs. Either too discombobulated in the brain-pan to be able to think straight enough to Weave, or straight up chemically-induced coma. Over time, figure out the camera-mask trick. Which will, of course, fail eventually when used on someone too skilled as a Channeler. And then a new plan will be needed!
I had something to add to the conversation. It's sitting on the tip of my tongue, but the girls interrupted with a thousand questions about something and now I've forgotten *sighs*
Drugs, Darkness, Camera helmets. All three could be pretty effective for a while as containment. Too drugged to think straight, (hell give them topamax and that should do it lol), through them into darkness and put the helmet on and I'm going to say they can't go anywhere for a while.
I wonder if it's possible to have a channeler discover a channeling detector... like the stone they use with the Aes Sedai to test for girls who can channel. I know a regular cop can't really do much once a channeler starts channeling but it could be enough warning and/or time to sonic blast them to incapacitate them. Kinda like a radiation detector... oh shit let's get out of here warning.
