[[ oops forgot I was up ]]
Sage had seen them all but he wasn't going to tell Aiden. He just grinned and nodded. "Sounds good to me." Sage didn't hesitate to pull the movie up with a quick thought. It started playing and Sage sank closer into Aiden. It had been a while since he'd been close to anyone. Since he'd left America, but how long had it been before that. Sasha didn't count. She was always available for him - in everything.
They didn't get far in the movie before there were several alerts going off in Sage's head. Things he didn't want to deal with. The sensors in Nox's wallet were freaking out and there was all sorts of cryptic new reports coming out of the Kremlin. Mass Panic! Sage stiffened as he tried to divide his attention between his friends, the movie and the man he was pressed against. Aiden's warmth was more distracting that the movie. And Sage was certain Nox would take care of whatever it was that was going on, that was kinda his thing.
Sage pressed a kiss to Aiden's neck and whispered, "Distract me."
Aiden lit up like a Christmas tree when Sage agreed to the movie. The opening had startled a 10-year-old Aiden so many years ago; due in part to the opening screen that claimed the movie was based on factual events. As a child, one is ready to believe any and everything the world tells them; even the existence of zombies. Aiden had gone on for years believing in the existence of the supernatural. What a wicked joke on Fate’s part that he would end up here 20 years later, wielding (or trying to) magic. Perhaps there were zombies out there.
The movie progressed smoothly, Sage and the pups snuggled up to Aiden. A once-sexy jock was on the screen, now zombified and attempting to feast upon the brains of his ex-girlfriend. The special effects were laughable. Aiden was about to ask Sage if zombies existed, but he was promptly silenced as Sage kissed his neck. Goosebumps erupted across Aiden’s skin. The dogs seemed to take the hint and wandered off to Sage’s room.
A low, playful growl sounded in the back of Aiden’s throat. He turned to Sage with a hungry look in his eyes and tackled the man back into the couch. 3 blazing orbs winked into existence above Aiden’s head and they started doing a frantic, vibrant dance. Nipping at Sage’s neck, Aiden breathed into his ear, “Only if you’re sure.”
The movement was quick and Sage was only unsure as the fireballs appeared above Aiden's head. But he was tired of the things in his head. He wanted to lose himself in Aiden. He could only nod before he pulled Aiden down to kiss him wrapping his arms around him and then shifting so they rolled onto the floor with a thump. "Sorry. Your head okay?" But Sage didn't wait for an answer as he pressed his body on top of Aiden.
The fire balls danced wildly and Sage tried to ignore them but he couldn't. They were distracting, and dangerous.
Sage sat up his legs on either side of Aiden's body and ground against Aiden's groin. Sage licked his lips as he stared down at Aiden. "Let me break your streak for you. But I need you to try to keep those, " Sage nodded to the fireballs floating around wildly, "under control. If it takes longer, more fun for us I'd think." Sage reached for the hem of his shirt and tugged it over his head. Sage shifted down and undid Aiden's pants and tugged them down. There could be no doubt what Sage intended as he grinned at Aiden. "You think you can handle that?"
Aiden was feeling hot and bothered. His pulse pounded and his pants grew tighter as Sage rolled him onto the ground. It’s not that he liked things ‘rough,’ but there was something… primal… about tumbling around with one’s lover. Throw in a bite here or there and you were in business. The fireballs swirled overhead at an alarming pace. Aiden barely noticed as Sage asked about his head and pressed hard against his groin.
“Well, I’ve never had any complaints,” Aiden replied cheekily. He loved using that line. He giggled a bit and said, “But seriously. My cranium is perfectly fine.”
Glancing up at the fairy fire, Aiden laughed uneasily, “You know I can’t… I was trying the whole time you were rooting around for treats upstairs… Nox never told you how he manages it? I mean… Maybe taking our time would help. I could at least keep half an eye on them… Or I’ll try to,” Sage ripped Aiden’s pants off, leaving him clad in his red plaid boxer briefs; his body responded appropriately to the move. The fireballs twirled and danced, almost forming an obscene shape. Almost. They started to dip a little, but not alarmingly so.
“I – uh – Y-yeah. I can handle it,” Aiden stammered out, half sitting up to rip his own shirt off. “They’ve never harmed me… And if they protected me in that simulation… Well. Fuck it.”
Sage couldn't help the grin that hit his face when Aiden turned his question upside down. "I'll have to be the judge of that later." Aiden didn't seem to think they were dangerous, those fireballs floating above his head. But Aiden wouldn't be the one getting singed either but the fact didn't really stop him from worshiping the body below him.
It had been a while and Sage had no problem taking it slow, but it had been a while and Sage had then both naked sooner than he'd planned. The fireballs were only a slight distraction as Sage was focused on Aiden. He couldn't deny the fact this was almost a dream come true. Fucking a rockstar - and a hot one too. Sage had met his share of musical icons back stage, being able to get VIP tickets anytime he wanted was always a plus. But he'd never thought he'd ever be a tangled mess of limbs, fingers gliding over sweat slicked bodies, his fingers in those locks, lips and teeth and bodies making lude sounds.
Sage didn't want to keep his eyes closed while they explored and pleasured one another but every time he caught a glimpse of the fireballs it made him rethink and Sage didn't want to think, he wanted to drown in the carnal pleasure with Aiden. Fuck Nox and his inability to commit to anything other than the Atharim. The thought made Sage growl without really thinking and he bit into the neck of his lover. Not too hard, but he wanted to mark the man as his. It wasn't usually part of his playbook but tonight, Aiden was his. Even if Aiden fell in love with the stupid smile and the jovial nature, Sage had him first!
The smell of something burning pulled at Sage.
[[ sorry, 2 scenes from finishing the book, new house excitement and just plain tired are my excuses, the latter two might be an issue for a bit. ]]
Aiden was ready to burst and they had not even been going at it for more than five minutes. The fairy fire spun round and round as Sage serviced Aiden. It was enough of a distraction to keep Aiden from climaxing; which really was a double-edged sword. Aiden did not want their romp to end too quickly, but at the same time, he didn’t want to burn down the entire house.
Fuck it, Aiden thought to himself.
He closed his eyes and went to town on Sage, returning the favor tenfold. They were sweaty, hot, bothered, hard, and rough. Sage bit down on Aiden’s neck and that was the end of it. With a loud cry, Aiden climaxed to new heights. Stars swam his vision, his toes curled, and the only word on his lips was, “Sage!”
It was perfect bliss… Until Aiden smelled the distinct odor of burning cloth. His eyes snapped open and he scrambled to push Sage off of him. Both dogs burst into the room, barking in alarm. The couch to the left of Aiden and Sage’s naked bodies had caught on fire, no doubt from the fairy fire. Eyes bulging, Aiden fought off a panic attack.
“Oh FUCK!!!” He screamed. Aiden, ignorant of his complete lack of clothing, immediately ran off to search the room for a fire extinguisher. He was frantic. The night had been so perfect, but he had to ruin it. “Sage! Oh FUCK! I am SO sorry!!! I shouldn’t have let- We shouldn’t have-! Ugh!!! Is there a fire extinguisher? Or a bucket!? I can’t put it out with my powers!!! Oh FUCK!”
Half of the couch was engulfed in flames now.
Everything was about to end when Aiden shoved him off after he had screamed his name and Sage was in the middle of his own before Aiden had reacted to the smoke smell. It was humorous. Something that would only happen in the movies. Classic. Sage couldn't help but laugh. He was enjoying watching Aiden running around in panic mode. As if fire was something new in the basement.
Sage chuckled as he stood up. He didn't worry about his own state of undress as he headed to the corner where the fire extinquisher was. Sage was still laughing as he sprayed the foam at the couch. Dorian would be pissed cause he had to replace yet another couch. But Nox had actually bought this one, it was a cheap knock off of one they'd seen in a high end magazine.
He turned to Aiden and grabbed him and pressed a kiss to his lips to calm him down. "Calm down, Aiden. You really think this is the first fire?" Sage wrapped his arms around him and pulled him closer. "I will admit this is a first sex related fire I've seen, but Nox is fond of fire. He likes to blow shit up. He often blows up the room. You are more than fine." Sage sighed, "But I think we will have to resort to cyber sex the next time we want to do this. We could fuck under the stars in Bombay, or maybe in some ski lodge somewhere where we can be completely alone."
Aiden immediately melted into Sage’s embrace as the other man came to soothe his nerves. Breathing in and out, steadying himself, Aiden nodded and returned the kiss. Despite finishing moments before, Aiden’s body responded readily to Sage’s touch once more. Another ball of fire sprung up over his head. Aiden let out a groan, but it was not from pleasure.
“I really hope Nox comes home soon… I mean… After I put pants on… The sooner we can get this,” Aiden signaled to the new bout of fairy fire, “Under control. The better for you and I.”
Biting lightly at Sage’s earlobe, Aiden breathed, “Cybersex eh? Well, talk about first sex experiences… heh… I’ll still have to find a room that won’t combust… But being close to you is worth the risk,” A goofy grin enveloped Aiden’s face as he planted another kiss onto Sage’s soft lips.
“Once we get this under control, I’ll fly us out to Bombay or someplace exotic. A fuck-cation we’ll call it. We could both use the release and the time away from home, I’m sure… How long does this take? To gain control over this kinda stuff, I mean… Nox sounds like a master of magic from the things you’ve been telling me… Oh, Lord, I hope he can help me…” Aiden groaned and threw his head back, “I’m ready for more! Now! But… shit…”
Aiden reluctantly pulled away and dejectedly walked back to the pile of clothing, shrugging on his pants slowly, giving Sage one last eye-full. He liked teasing his lovers, but now that Sage had had the buffet, Aiden would have to devise new ways to tease his lover.
“So, what now? Did you finish? I was so panicked… That’s terrible of me… But I didn’t notice… I think I could keep the fire under control if it’s just you that’s getting stimulated… Or we can finish the movie. Anything is fine by me, so long as you don’t kick me out… Although we might have to go back to your room to finish the movie… Or should we move the couch out?” Aiden was babbling. He did that when he was nervous. Why he was nervous, he didn’t know. Sage had just had a mouthful of Aiden Finnegan, now was not the time to be blushing around the man, but there it was. Aiden was red in the face.
Aiden chalked it all up to the burning of the couch and the fear of wrecking the mood, “Sorry… Sorry.” Aiden took a breath and steadied himself, “I’ll buy you guys a new couch… Right now actually…” He whipped out his wallet and started searching for furniture. Aiden’s face was growing redder by the second.
What the hell is wrong with me, Aiden thought to himself, get a grip dude. You’re way more smooth than THIS.
Sage grabbed Aiden's phone from his hand and put it behind his naked body. "You will do no such thing. Nox will deal with it. I promise you he won't even know if he did it or not. Anything you guy will be too good for here"
Sage smirked as he walked away and pulled on his boxers and his t-shirt. "We can watch the movie in my room. But we have to keep those pesky fireballs at bay. You think you can spend the night?" Sage lifted an eyebrow then frowned. "There is something going down at the Kremlin other than the ball and I don't think Nox is going to be home soon."
Sage asked if Aiden was spending the night. He furrowed his brow for a moment. Sage had offered that already before they had even met in the flesh. That was the entire reason Aiden had packed five of his suitcases… That may have seemed excessive, but Aiden would never travel anywhere without having a wide selection of outfits. You never knew what was going to happen and Aiden would not be caught unaware. What if they went to a ball together? Aiden would have kicked himself if he didn’t have his lucky suit on hand…
Chalking it up to forgetfulness, Aiden nodded vigorously, “I thought you’d never ask.” He dropped his pants, content to remain in his own boxer-briefs if Sage was going to parade around in his own boxers. Oh, it was risky. Aiden would have trouble keeping his hands to himself if there was only a small layer of fabric protecting their groins, but it was a risk he was willing to take.
“I’ll tell my driver to unload the baggage and to go back home… If you’d just give me my device back,” Aiden said as he reached for his wallet. Sage commented on the Kremlin, “What? What is going on? You don’t look happy… Not that I would be upset to have the rest of the night alone with you… But I don’t like that look on your face… What’s wrong, Sage?”
Aiden’s brow furrowed again. He pulled Sage in tight, arms locking around his waist, “You can tell me anything. What’s the matter?”
