- doulou - 11-28-2013 HAPPY THANKSGIVING - Hood - 11-28-2013 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpa-Kbi1gxo - Jon Little Bird - 11-28-2013 Lol Hood! Wishing everyone who a very happy Thanksgiving if it's your national day of thanks or not and thanks for being part of this adventure here! - Jon Little Bird - 11-28-2013 So who else is cooking a turkey today? I'm more than happy to share my best secrets in turkey preparation. - doulou - 11-28-2013 I am deep frying mine - Jon Little Bird - 11-28-2013 Turkey must be roasted and properly basted. Deep frying is a thing of the devil. I'm currently in an argument with my mother-in-law over this. She thinks basting is a waste of time. Just doesn't get it. Edited by Jon Little Bird, Nov 28 2013, 03:10 PM. - doulou - 11-28-2013 That is because you are not a master at deep frying turkey. My first deep fried turkey was in a pressure fryer at KFC in 1993. It was awesome. - Jon Little Bird - 11-28-2013 Mention of KFC grants you a double blasphemy charge. The proper turkey has to be oven roasted. No deep frying. Think of all the house fires you'll avert if you just convert to my way. - doulou - 11-28-2013 In Texas we cook our turkey outside - Jensen James - 11-28-2013 Happy thanksgiving! |
