- Michael Vellas - 08-03-2013

It stung a bit to hear her laugh at him, but he supposed he looked like a fool. He felt like one. It made him realise how detached he had become from everyday life.

He found himself envying her. It was not resentment - the notion of resenting the world for his troubles was one he scorned - just a longing for the time when he could smile and laugh freely once more.

“If you like art at all. I take a lot of influence from myth.”

He took the card and looked it over. He wasn't really all that interested in art, but he was drawn to anything mythological. If he ever got the time he might like something for his room but he did not want to drag anyone else into his mess. He wasn't sure if they would target a mere acquaintance, but he wasn't going to take the risk.

“Nice to meet you too, Michael.”She said as she walked to the counter.

Michael spent another half an hour collecting a few more books that looked interesting before he left for home, his mind calm and resolute.
