Lol Hood!

Wishing everyone who a very happy Thanksgiving if it's your national day of thanks or not and thanks for being part of this adventure here!

So who else is cooking a turkey today? I'm more than happy to share my best secrets in turkey preparation.

I am deep frying mine

- Jon Little Bird - 11-28-2013

Turkey must be roasted and properly basted. Deep frying is a thing of the devil. I'm currently in an argument with my mother-in-law over this. She thinks basting is a waste of time. Just doesn't get it.

That is because you are not a master at deep frying turkey. My first deep fried turkey was in a pressure fryer at KFC in 1993. It was awesome.

Mention of KFC grants you a double blasphemy charge. The proper turkey has to be oven roasted. No deep frying. Think of all the house fires you'll avert if you just convert to my way.
