Jon follows two agents to Club Kistyami, the place where Julie Reed's fellow agents have misdirected the origin of Nicholas Trano's phone call to Jon. There he finds the agents searching for Nick, and uses Compulsion to convince one of the agents that Nick is really there.
Later, Jon visits Nick Trano in a dream to warn him that his movements are being followed. Nick reveals his ability to channel to Jon in the dream and gives Jon his hotel suite so Jon can find him in the morning.
Jon goes to visit Nick at his suite. He tells Nick what he knows of channeling and helps him harness his own abilities. Upon finding out Nick's assistant is in fact an intelligence agent, he threatens her in order to keep her mouth shut.
