Natural to wonder that Haruto was caught up with the Edenokōji-gumi. Kiyohito held out hope that it was all a coincidence. A small hope that his brother was in Moscow fleeing the anger and disgrace chasing his heels. Rumor was not evidence, and a man may approximate the enemy freely, but affiliation was betrayal. Kiyo shook his head in disappointment. The mere appearance of working with Edenokōji piled more consequences at Haruto’s feet than he would be able to walk away from.
Kiyo glanced at the door, but a frown wrinkled his brow. The urgency in his shoes gave speed to the voice in his head, but he did not move to exit. He did not move much at all except to look upon the porcelain face of Kōta’s sister. His chiding between siblings was playful, but there was no flicker of retaliation from Eido. He bristled to imagine he'd cast some spell upon Eido, and the thoughtfulness that sprinkled his expression with concern said as much. Meanwhile, for as much as Kiyo weighed the comment, she fully ignored her brother’s statement outright, peering up with as much urgency to help as Kiyohito felt to chase after Haruto then and there.
He gave it no more thought and bowed before them both, “If you can point me in the direction of the Edenokōji-gumi interests, I will take it from here,” he said, discharging their promise as he did. He did not really need the direction, but it would speed his efforts all the more, and perhaps give him a chance to pluck Haruto out of Moscow before he did irreparable damage to them both.
