Aaliyah Zevros - Prophetess of Al-Janyar
Aaliyah was in the library and she went immediately to the woman at the front desk. The woman looked up from her desk at Aaliyah's approach and smiled.

"May I help you, miss?"[/color] the woman said, adjusting the glasses on the bridge of her nose.

Aaliyah returned her smile."I think so.  I'm looking to find out about this symbol and maybe figure out what it means.  It may have something to do with Egypt.  Do you have any idea of where I should start?"
She handed the woman a drawing of a symbol.

The woman looked at it. Given that Alexander the Great had once conquered Egypt, Aaliyah hoped that the library in Athens might have some information she could find.

"I've seen this before - it's a symbol of an Egyptian god or goddess, I don't remember which one.  One moment please," the woman did a search on her computer, and wrote down several titles. "I'd start with these books on Egyptian mythology. Would you like me to help, or would you like to research on your own."

"I can do it on my own.  I'm sure you have other duties to attend to," Aaliyah said with a smile.

She went to the stacks and found the books and began searching through them. She poured through the books reading of Ra, Nut, Sehkmet, Anubis, Thoth, Set, Osiris, and finally Isis. There it was the symbol in her drawing.  A Tyet - or Isis Knot. A symbol of the goddess Isis.  Aaliyah smiled and headed to the exit, making sure to thank the librarian on her way out.

Aaliyah headed straight back to her hotel room, and pulled out the box she had with her when she had left. She smirked.

Oh, Giovanni. You're not the only one who was once a petty thief.

The box had been placed on Giovanni's desk one day, and Aaliyah had secreted it away.  This had been after she had made the decision to leave.  Giovanni had several archaeological digs happening and this happened to be one of the items they had dug up.  Giovanni had never seen it, so he didn't know it was missing.  It came with a note.

Quote:Giovanni,

This one is of similar craftsmanship and made of the same metal as the Eye of Horus. Thought you might have an interest in it to.

She opened the box and pulled out the amulet on a chain.  Like the note said, it looked like it was made similarly to the artifact that Giovanni was obsessed with, but it's shape was that of the tyet.  In her readings, she had found out that Isis was the mother of Horus.  These two items were connected.  She was sure of it.
