Aine offered Rachel a smile and a quick, friendly laugh at her comments on her doodles. "Better than what I could do" was one of the classics. She tucked her sketchbook away and settled back into the conversation. Aine had been meeting a lot of new people lately, but they all had similar goals to her. This one...she felt like she was floundering, and it had barely started. Rachel's answers about herself had been vague, like she was keeping details to herself, which was fine. And she said she was out here to wander, to let her mind reset. Aine wondered if she had been telling her she needed time alone. She sometimes missed when people were telling her things without telling her things, like that.
Well, if Rachel was here for a wander, and Aine's presence wasn't welcome, she could have very easily left without a word. They were still strangers. Aine decided to bring up the subject she had had on her mind from the beginning. It was worth a try. "I hope I'm not overstepping..." she began, her blue eyes wandering around as she searched for words. "But I felt a familiar ehm...a power coming from you when you first walked up. I only bring it up because I can use that same magic." While her eyes were flitting around, avoiding eye contact, she noticed there weren't any others around to hear them. Which was good. A cold day made conversations easy to hear. "How long have you been able to use it?" she asked tentatively.
