Kayce (Victoria) has been absent, and will be absent for an indefinite period due to some things that have come up in life.

I haven't forgotten you guys! I'm probably going to be pretty busy until March, though I'll do my best to keep up to date. Have I missed anything?

I've been very much preoccupied this past month or so, for which I apologize.

Things never quite go to plan. After a wonderful day Friday we received a phone call Saturday morning to say our dogs had been attacked by a loose dog on their walk. Fortunately the chi was scooped out the way quickly, otherwise he'd likely be dead. My terrier had to be rushed to the vets. Thank goodness they managed to get the attacking dog away quickly and the bites were all concentrated on her back end, with only one serious one by her ribs where it went all the way through the muscle. She's home now recovering.

As you all know, these dogs are like my kids, and I can't concentrate on anything else right now. Plus I seem to have picked up every damn virus under the sun with the stress. We're back at the vets tomorrow to double check there's no sign of infection and that the wounds are beginning to heal okay.

I saw mention of that on facebook. I'm glad they are okay. I totally understand the pups as kids. I hope you feel better soon.
