Victoria almost let the desk come crashing down, just remembering to weave resistance to its descent, the desk slowly floating to the ground. With another, smaller gesture his pen neatly flew back into place. That clipped tone had stung more than it should have. It was to be expected, of course. Who wouldn't that power intimidate. Yet was that her life now? To scare, to be seen as nothing more than an unstoppable weapon? Perhaps Victoria should have kept it secretly after all. Just continue to serve effectively like she had been doing.

Snatching up her hat, she gave Stanko a slightly shaky salute, not quite meeting his eyes. "Sir. I will see that list gets to you. And... thank you, Sir." She opened her mouth as if to say something else, but closed it again. Friendliness was pointless here. They were both professionals, and not here to make lasting friendships. With that, she laid his firearm down, gently, upon the desk, and turned on her heel to leave the room. Victoria needed to move quickly. She had a lot of bags to pack, and emotions to suppress.
