Mik was surprised at the way Rune responded to him. I mean, yeah, sex was about hungers and all that. And of course he was hungry. He was always fucking hungry.
But Rune....well, there was hunger and there was being famished. Starvation. He'd gone maybe a day or two without eating before. And fuck yeah, the next meal was massive and left him in a food coma. But it wasn't the same.
This was more like the sexual version of the meal Rune ate. Like she had been starving or something. It was desperation. And fear she'd never eat again.
He let the power go. He wasn't really sure why, exactly. He had a good buzz going, of course. But the power seemed to be overwhelming him, now that his mind had turned slightly to her. Her desperation pulled at him and made him feel like he needed to focus.
Because he wasn't starving. He'd had sex earlier that week and would probably in the next. No biggie. But there was something she wanted from him. And it cost him nothing to give it. Karma and all that, he supposed. It was easy so why not.
So he focused on her, tried to make sure she enjoyed herself- and that she got hers. It was maybe a bit sooner than he expected, despite how he tried to hold her back. Her breathing increased sharply just before it happened. And in that moment, if felt like she retreated in on herself.
She shifted under him, trying to cover herself up. He moved back to give her room, handing her a shirt- his or the one she had been wearing, he didn't know. At her words, he smiled. "No apologies. You didn't do anything wrong."
He looked at her again, not in a leering way, a friendly smile at his lips. After a moment, "It's OK to be different. Doesn't make you any less beautiful." He looked at the table with the remnants of their meal. Finally..."That was the first time you let anyone see you like that...right?" Another pause, remembering his own first time- first TIMES. "Yeah, It's scary to open up like that. I know. To let people in..." He shook his head slightly, thinking about it, before looking at her again with a slight curve to his lips.
His smile was genuine. He didn't press.

We're like the wind,
we blows both ways."
