The days after Elsa's death were filled with just tying to get ready for his departure to Moscow. Something was going on, Peter was sure of it. The wolf girl had found out he was coming, or there was a leak in the Atharim. Somehow, someone knew what he was up to. There was no other explanation for the ill luck he had.
He had secured funds for the operation with the local branch of the Atharim, and had made his departure. At the Danish-German border, he was stopped and his car was searched. An inconvenience, but one he was not unprepared for. He had felt this would happen. If he was on a no fly list, it would surprise him to be checked at borders - even if they were all in the CCD. So he had taken a risk. He had no weapons on him. He would secure those from the Atharim in Moscow.
