Maddi saw Kenzie run off. She saw Sterling run downstairs, and then a while later Tatyana was carrying Kenzie down the stairs and into the bedroom. She burst into the room closing the door behind her with a wide swing. It slammed shut. "Kenzie. What's wrong?"

Kenzie didn't answer she just curled up in bed and Maddi curled up next to her being the big spoon like Kenzie was to her. She pressed her face into the back of her neck and hummed softly until Kenzie was asleep. She looked up at Tatyana with questioning eyes. "What happened?" she whispered.
