Kiriena placed the book in a shopping basket, and still it seemed to blend in to its surroundings. It wasn't that the book was invisible or fully camouflaged. It was more like you didn't really see it, unless you were looking for it. The book was like the person that would pass unnoticed in a crowd simply because it didn't stand out.
Kiriena walked around the shop, picking out a few more books that she wanted to read. She had recently grown interested in the works of Stephen King, an author from the late 20th/early 21st century. Different Seasons, a book with four novellas and Pet Sematary were placed in her basket next to the book about plants. She also picked up a book of poems by Edgar Allen Poe
Kiriena stretched and then headed toward the back area. Most didn't journey this way, finding what they wanted elsewhere, but today, Kiriena found another patron browsing. He was lithe and pale skinned, with piercing blue eyes and blonde hair. Kiriena gave him a nod and smile as she began to browse in the area, wondering what gems might be found in the stacks.
