Did she ever stop asking questions? Nox sighed to himself. Soon she'd be Juliana's problem. And he could deal with all the questions Nox saw written all over Raffe's face. And he needed a whole shit ton of downtime. His arm was still bothering him, but Nox tried not to think about it. At least it was a distraction from the stuff in his head. Of the realization of what had happened. He didn't want to think about any of it. Not even a little.

Nox wished they didn't have a fourteen-year-old girl hanging around so Raffe could have said what he wanted. Nox would have to remember when they were alone to ask. There was a stab of self-loathing with the knowledge that Raffe and Elyse shared a heritage in common. It meant nothing more than a commonality, but Nox had hurt her. And he hadn't meant to, but he wouldn't change it for the world either. He wouldn't apologize for it.

Nox answered Sterling a bit later than he should have, her look of disdain was only brief before she was looking around the inside of the burlesque house. "I sorta dance, but mostly here as security." He was innocuous muscle - looked easy to handle by could handle himself. At least he did most of the time. "Raffe is a bartender and a pretty good security guy too." Though Nox hoped he didn't keep getting in over his head.

There was a soft noise coming from one of the practice areas. "Hey Juls, I need your help." Nox called out and hoped she was with in shouting distance.
