Threatening his life meant nothing. But Raffe's that was another thing. The darkness inside found the crack - the small crevice of anger and it wrenched it's way into the opening and grew - it drew upon the anger. It fed and it was glorious.
Nox turned on the man his good arm stretched out though it wasn't needed and his power wrapped around the man's throat. The power flooded the earth below him and the earth began to shake. Visions of things Nox had never seen swept past like memories but the knowledge was fleeting as were the images he'd never seen before. Birds fled the nearby trees as the ground shook. He'd felt the earth move before, but this was different.

The pictures on the walls rattled, and some of them fell shattering on the floor. Glasses and plates tumbled from the shelves and Christian rushed the two other occupants to the door frame. Earthquakes were not common, but that was what all TV shows said to do. Though Christian contained to the front door. He opened it and saw Nox with outstretched hand and the Atharim struggling for air. This wasn't Nox... "Nox!" Christian shouted. "Stop or the home you helped build will fall." Christian didn't approach, he'd been on the receiving end of a misplaced fireball one too many times - and that was when Nox wasn't trying to kill a man. Ana stood with Christian and her voice carried too begging Nox to stop.
