Calling Card
#20
Cruz was mildly surprised that Raffe offered to help. But then again if the person he was ... he cared for was still hours out and still a lot could go wrong he'd want to keep his mind occupied too. Cruz would readily take the help even though he didn't really know Raffe. But he'd overheard his mother dotting on Raffe and wondered if Nox took on every stray he found who needed help. It sure seemed that way sometimes.

Sage was eager and started talking as Cruz led them into the kitchen and the side door. His mother and Christian conversed amongst themselves and busied with lunch and the redecorating they were doing on the study. It was going to look much better now that someone cared what the place looked like.

Sage was a sort of know-it-all and it irked Cruz more often than not, but he liked him none-the-less. He was a bit stalkery though and that was a big problem. He was hoping he didn't have to ditch his friend to presue this. Sage wasn't a good person in the lawful sense, but sometimes he didn't have good judgement about what information he devulged. Or maybe he was but Cruz didn't want his dad finding out he was seeking out underground coins and going to Manifesto by himself or any number of things Dorian Vega might look down upon. And if his grandfather found out. He might lose his inheritance... maybe it wasn't a good idea. But as Cruz slipped the coin back into his pocket he still felt the call to follow the mystery of it. Even if it meant living on the streets with nothing.
