“Hmm. Well, I’m not sure yet. I’m waiting to see if you offer to make me breakfast before I decide.” It was only a tease, though not one she'd turn down. She doubted there’d be anyone in Kallisti’s building this early, and the moment she left his apartment it’d be back to the uncertainty of her reality. Not that there wasn’t an undeniable level of thrill in the risks she took, and frankly there was plenty she needed to do today, but she was in no hurry to leave.
He kissed her before he passed her the mug of coffee. Nesrin was surprised, but not uninterested in the relative sweetness of the gesture. Amusement played at the edges of her lips, hidden by the sip she took – no cream or sugar for her either. He definitely didn’t do this often. But it was kind of adorable.
She didn’t sit, just leaned against one of the counters, knowing it pulled the shirt tighter about her hips. Her long legs were crossed loose at the ankle. In the soft morning light she looked perfectly at home.
“You were up early,” she agreed with a smirk, perfectly innocent. “Old habits? You said you were new to Moscow, before. But there can’t be much work for a soldier here. Are you staying? Or just visiting?” Mostly his place looked sparse – which might mean it was temporary, or just that it was as new as he was. For the tease in his tone she looked down at herself with the slow blossom of a sultry smile. One hand plucked at a button. “You don’t mind right? Because I can always give it back if you do…”
