Elyse understood his explanation. It made sense. Her change had been drastic, and it was logical to assume that she might have been freaking out, or very close to it. Perhaps she should have told him that. Control was hard sometimes, but in reality, she’d only come close to completely losing it once. She doubted that the man Nox had cheated on her with knew how much danger he had been in when he had decided to run. Thankfully Ana had been there.

”It was the first time I’ve had angry sex. I think that had something to do with it. I didn’t mean to scare you, and maybe I should have communicated better what was happening, but taking charge was a new experience for me. And it was exhilarating.”

She snuggled into him, smiling at his response to her wanting to talk more, and towards his medically induced inability to impregnate her. ”Well, if I had known that before, you would have had a happier ending. Unfortunately one of us, who also isn’t ready to do that shit, has not been religiously taking her birth control.” she said in jest. ”I guess I owe you one.” she teased him her hand going from his shoulder to rest across his abdomen. ”So you were at the infamous house party orgy? I was invited to that - regret not going. Sounds like it was a blast!”
