Elyse smiled, but was still sad at his departure. Then she laughed as the thought hit her that her ex had kind of been her wingman today. She doubted that Nox had planned that, even if he might have anticipated it. Hayden seemed to be a player, but as far as she knew Nox still thought her with Mae. He also knew that Mae was poly though none of it really mattered. It was still entertaining.
Elyse got dressed. Unlike Hayden, she did plan to take a shower, and it wouldn’t do to cross the hall in her birthday suit. There were kids around, and Hayden was going to talk to them. Like he had talked to her. It made Elyse think of Marta. She could probably benefit from a talk with Hayden. Of course Marta seemed to be great since she had met Sterling. That was a friendship made in heaven. Of course Marta saw a therapist, but she wondered how much the girl could actually say to the therapist. Hayden had made everything so easy. Elyse would talk to Marta about it and let her make the decision. She knew best what she needed, and if she was amenable, she’d approach Hayden about it.
Dressed enough she headed over to the shower and began to clean up proper. Her stress was gone for now at least. She knew the journey would suck, but she also truly believed she’d survive it. Mae was another matter. That conversation would have to happen soon.
