The interview concluded, and Zhenya was pleased with the morning’s work. Reception provided Edwin with all that he needed to make his considered decision, including making sure he understood some of the finer details, though Zhenya had little doubt what the decision would be. There was nothing untoward in the contracts – NDAs, of course. Many of Pervaya’s clients required discretion. This also included a willingness to bend or break the law when necessary to keep a client safe. In turn, the company offered unrivalled protection for its operators. They were treated as family, and loyalty was rewarded in kind.

When Edwin called to accept his position, he would be offered a probationary period to adjust. His first job would be immediate: nothing too taxing, just enough to find his feet.
