Elyse nodded. She didn’t have to be the last of her line. She could have kids. She had done nothing to prevent that. ”Nothing drastic. Just… she sighed. ”Whether or not I have kids can wait.” she didn’t want to get too deep into that conversation. She would need someone else for that - well - there were ways around that too, but now wasn’t the time.
Her wallet beeped - the alarm she set for when it was time for her to go. ”That means it’s time.”
She stood and began to get dressed, pulling out her hunting clothing. It was a dark pair of pants and a shirt, form fitting to allow ease of movement. Over top of this she put her tactical harness. It would allow her to store her knives when she got them. Who could connect her crossbow to the harness to free her hands. Putting it on was a well rehearsed dance, and even if it had been awhile, it all went on with a practiced ease. The pants would go unnoticed in a crowd, but the top she covered with a hoodie, plain and unassuming. Finally she put on her boots and the colored contacts. Covered as she was, she looked like a normal woman going out for some coffee. Of course, she’d put her coat on as well which would add to the disguise.
”How do I look?” she asked with a smirk.
”Like you are going to be cold with just a hoodie.”
She laughed and gave him a playful and harmless punch on the arm”im going to put on a coat too, you ass!” she leaned down and gave him a kiss. ”Wish me luck?”
”Good luck. You want company?”
Elyse blinked at that, somewhat surprised at the offer. ”Nox did tell me to buy you coffee after we ‘meditated’” she put air quotes around the word. ”And I’m going to a coffee shop. I’d welcome the company, and if things go the way they should - it will just be that. Leaving now though - so as much as I hate to say it. Get some clothes on.” she grinned at him.
”I’d prefer a shower first, but I’ll forego it just for you,” she smiled apologetically as he got up and got dressed.
”Sorry, i owe you some shower time I guess,” she smiled and the pair left to go and the hunt officially began.
