The place was buzzing with energy and excitement. Watching a skilled artist work was definitely an honor. The DJ was the face of the club, and Elend couldn't help but wonder how the club itself would fare should the rumors be true. Realistically, there would probably be a drop in attendance for a bit, then it might work it's way back up. Manifesto had enough of a reputation on its own to survive, but it would likely hurt.
Ozy's set ended and the crowd parted ways for him like royalty, with some even brave enough to reach to touch him. Strangely enough, a bible verse came to him - something about "if I could only touch the hem of his garment, then I will be healed." It was an interesting train of thought. Elend wondered what sort of healing the masses of Manifesto were looking for tonight and whether or not their god was offering it.
Elend was aware that the DJ had found a place to sit and observe, his eyes scanning the crowd. His gaze stopped briefly on Elend is his partner in the blue dress before moving on as if bored.
Interesting... Elend thought as they moved through the crowd to order drinks.
Manipulation was an art form and a skill. Recognizing it was also a part of that skill set. Elend had spent most of his life maneuvering people around. He wasn't unaware of what could be going on. Neither was he worried about it. He was definitely intrigued enough to give in. After all, this night was about clarity, and what better way to obtain that than to let go and just let things happen. Elend had no agenda tonight.
So the pair worked their way towards Ozy, seated comfortably. Elend had his hand on the small of the woman's back, guiding her and as they approached she seemed to get excited at the prospect of being around the face of Manifesto. To be honest, he had debated leaving her behind or sending her off to someone else. He could have done it easily. He still easily could as long as he maintained contact. It seemed a weird thing that he could only use his powers when touching something.
Elend nodded in respect as he approached. "Ozy, it's good to see you again," he gestured lightly. "Could we join you?" Elend gave an easy smile as he said it and waited patiently for the man's answer.
