Anita got Quillion’s contact information and watched as he walked away. The bruises would suck, but he’d be okay. She chuckled to herself as she finally turned herself around and began to pack up her own equipment. This whole thing was unexpected. Anita wasn’t a religious person - it just wasn’t something that ever drew her in. The whole god thing wasn’t her cup of tea, and she was equally uncertain that the Ascendancy was a god to be worshipped.

But Quillion’s genuine faith was inspirational. She found it intriguing - even endearing. She sighed as she finished packing her medkit. Relationships hadn’t been in her gaze for awhile. She was just too busy to think about that, but Quillion had made her for a brief instant forget that. Her offer hadn’t been meant as a flirt, but it had been genuine interest, and maybe even she was interested in more than friendship. Her interest wasn’t even grounded in sex. She just found herself wanting to get to know him more.

Anita got to her vehicle and drove away with the man in her mind. She still hadn’t understood much of what he had said, but she was sure - sometime - she would make her way to the Temple - and it wouldn’t be to find god. She’d be seeking something else, and that made her smile.
