Not to Learn, but to Remember (Sanctuary)
#16
Anton was still feeling the rigidity of the Luminar’s emotions - emotions that he hadn’t felt until they had been pulled out. It was an uneasy feeling. Feeling what others around you felt was one thing. Feeling emotions that were deeper and attached to something greater was something entirely different. Perhaps they lingered longer for that reason. Anton was glad to not have to push it farther than he already had.

”Time would be appreciated. I can still feel it - going too quickly might also contaminate the data.” he said.

Staying here wasn’t a problem for now. He had very few ties anywhere. It made his life easier for things like this. Staying here temporarily would be fine. ”I’ll stay. It will be interesting to see what we can figure out.”

It was an odd thing. A random decision to come here had led to an interesting discovery. He wasn’t sure how he felt about the Ascendancy being seen as a worshipped figure yet, but there was plenty to show that there were a lot of unknown phenomena in the world. He certainly hadn’t expected such an ethereal experience. It didn’t offer him opportunity to hone his skills further.
