Nox woke with Emily's head lying on his chest. He took a shallow breath so as not to disturb her. He lay there for several minutes recollecting where his things were. It was one reason why he preferred to finish the undressing process. There was no telling where things would fly if she did them. Not that spontaneity was a problem for him. But it made leaving harder.
Nox ran his hand over her shoulder to see if she was awake, but her bare movements indicated she was not. He moved her with ease to the pillow nearby. As with most things in the bedroom it was practiced. The first several times hadn't gone so well.
Nox grabbed everything from the bedroom and pulled on his boxers before walking into the suite. He shut the bedroom door softly behind him before flipping on the light in the suite area to look for his shirt she'd pulled from him. It lay haphazardly over the back of the couch. He grinned at the memory and pulled on his clothes.
He checked his pockets for his wallet and his room key before leaving, would be real hell having to explain either loss to anyone. Nox was thankful his room key had the room number on it or he'd have had to call Aria at early o'clock in the morning. Not that she wasn't awake anyway, she was worse than him when it came to sleep.
Nox slipped into his room and into the shower before he would hit the sack for another few hours of sleep.
