Deflating the Ruse
#11
Sage frowned at Nox. He'd been hurt and from the looks of him he'd been out in the sun too long. Sage hated liars. FINE DON'T TELL ME THE TRUTH, LOOKS LIKE YOU'VE BEEN HAVE A GREAT TIME AT THE POOL.

Sage was almost of the half mind to let Nox dangle from his own cord. But he was serious and Sage had only met the girl in brief passing he didn't want have anything to do with her, and Nox hadn't wanted anyone else near her. Dangerous wasn't the word for her.

Nox shifted closer after he'd read the message. He sat down in the chair beside Sage's bed and frowned at him. "Why would I lie? Why would I sit pool side when someone's trying to kill me? Why would I build walls to keep people safe?"

"Focaxauso ug axalo paxalaxaneid!
Sage growled hearing his own voice and sent the same thing to his wallet again. BECAUSE YOU ARE PARANOID!

Nox gave him a wry grin. It was such a cute expression that Sage almost lost his anger at his friend - or his friends little brother. It was hard to believe Aurora was gone. There was an extra sadness to Nox. He was missing Aurora now... Sage knew one thing, and that Nox had made Aria a promise. They'd talked long about Aurora and family and his promise.

Sage was in the middle of following Voxel around and oddly enough he'd been caught doing so. He used it to his advantage and made a friend in the process. Carrying on two conversations wasn't easy. But Nox let him alone when he was busy. He sat and watched him. It made him nervous wondering what Nox was thinking. He sent him a message and opened his eyes and spoke gibberish. "Jex. Reet axat zo vossaxago.
