It was definitely different letting someone do something with her hair and makeup. It was almost relaxing. She could get used to this. Maybe she'd go with her mother on occasion.... maybe.
By the time the stylist was done washing and cutting and styling her hair, they had finally gotten to a point where she could see the final results. They had refused to let her see. They'd brought her drinks - probably too many. She was thankful for Claire's insight at that point - eating had been a good idea.
Ilesha turned and saw a completely different person staring back at her. The make up was subtle, but the hair made everything change. "Wow...."
was all she could say. Ilesha gave them both a large tip, Claire's too before she paid the final bill - which she did not look at. Her mother was going to throw a fit when she saw the bill. Ignorance was bliss...
Claire led the way to shop. High end. Nothing like what Ilseha owned at all. The man in the front gave Ilesha that same glare the woman before had. She rolled her eyes and handed him her credit. "We'd like to see what you have to offer. I'm sure we could find a place that will take my money."
He was about to send her away with a shooing of his hands but the number on the credit check came back with significant zeros. Ilesha snatched her card from his hands and turned on her heels. "I think we'll go."
The man plucked the card from her tiny fingers and smiled. "Right this way, ladies. I'm sure we can find something suitable."
