Sight Seeing [The Sanctuary of the Ascendant Flame]
#42
Anton listened intently to Theron's words, his attention a reflection of Theron's own attentiveness. Anton wasn't one to flaunt his gift idly. In fact, with the exception of his late father, no one else knew of his ability, and Anton knew of no others. His revelation to Theron was an extension of the idea that Anton had a profound experience, and believed fully that the key to understanding lay within his own abilities.

Theron was not afraid to theorize in front of Anton, a fact that made Anton more comfortable in the moment. Anton had his ability under control. He was able to form mental "shields" to protect himself from an influx of emotions, or utilize a calm individual such as Theron as a focus to keep himself from being overwhelmed. When he sang, his gift naturally extended, allowing the emotions of his song to influence the audience.

Anton was ready, however, to learn more of the Brotherhood - enough to join their ranks. They offered him what he was looking for - purpose and answers. Anton was eager to meet this librarian.

"I look forward to learning more. Please lead the way."
