"You're the kind of person who makes people want to tell you things. It's dangerous honestly. You should use that power wisely."
Those words echoed in Cadence's mind, even as she paid attention to the singer and Ezvin's other words, and as he continued, you could see it - vulnerability. It might not be the same vulnerability she felt, but right now, she felt less alone than she had in a long time. And with that her own vulnerability was more present. She hated the loneliness she felt so much and didn't want that anymore.
Pieces he didn't show. Cadence understood that too. So much of her life she had hidden parts of herself. It's why she was making this tour. It's why she wanted people to know what she went through. To know that it was okay. There was a scariness to that. And Ezvin thought with that she was going to change the world one voice and one fire at a time. Seemed like the more he said, the more responsibility she got. She smiled a bit.
"Well, I hope I change things for the better," and gave his hand a squeeze. "And if you ever want to share - I have a good listening ear, and it stays with us."
Her smile broadened as he offered her a hand in standing and she took her coat from his hand, giving him thanks as she put it on. She still felt tired, not as tired as before, but a slight ache that told her she had pushed her abilities a little bit. It still felt like a good tire. Maybe now was good time to head out - before they started writing songs about them.
The pair walked to the entrance of the Nest and Cadence turned to Ezvin and wrapper her arms around him in a hug. "Thank you so much for this. This is what I needed. I think my days of doing Cinderella impersonations are over." she smirked as she planted a kiss on his cheek. "Better head home, rest up a bit. Tomorrow and then a lot of work on Monday." she said, but she hadn't let go of the hug yet.
Cadence held on to him for awhile, letting go reluctantly as she began to reach for her wallet to summon a cab to get home. "See you then?" She asked then hesitated before she continued. "Unless...you want to come over?" It was something she'd never asked anyone before, but the words came out.
Cadence stood in front of her, nervousness in her posture, but not in her face. Her face was expectant and patient, awaiting an answer and unsure of what she would receive. She told herself she wouldn't mind if he said no, but she wasn't sure that was the case. Cadence was certain she wanted him to say yes.
