Cadence took the momentary silence to still her thoughts. There was no reason to assume anything would happen or even if that was what Ezvin had planned. Still, her curiosity was piqued. As she had begun to accept her trauma more and recognize it for what it was, she felt like she had been playing catchup with a lot of emotions.
Cadence finished her sip of coffee and placed the cup back on the table, beaming as Lore agreed. It seemed odd that this meeting had started with Lore helping Cadence learn how to plan and now had shifted in a different direction. It made Cadence once again think of her personal growth. A month ago, she wouldn’t have dared to come to Artskaf. She wouldn’t have spoken to a stranger. She certainly wouldn’t be planning random adventures with people. She was learning that she really liked being with people and getting to know them. The world already felt less lonely and empty.
”That sounds…” her voice trailed as she tried to think of the right word to describe Hex. Scary, weird, strange, exciting, fun, maybe all of the above. ”Interesting.” she said finally, the corners of her lips turning into a smile.
She wrapped her hands around her coffee. There was no pressure if they didn’t like it. She found herself excited for another adventure. ”Sounds like a unique experience. I’m in.” she said. She might have to ask for suggestions for cocktails. She didn’t drink much, but life was about new and unique experiences. ”If Lore is agreeable, then sounds like a plan for this evening.”
