A Snowed In Hunt
#10
Sasha grinned. "She doesn't come down here. Not usually. She waits by the abandoned buildings not far from the entrance -- tempting those of us who want to listen -- to make a quick dollar or need food and have no other options." His rumors were true -- mostly. They didn't come back -- she ate them. Like many of the things that lured you into temptation. This one was like Nox -- a do-gooder -- a hunter. One of them Atharim. Sasha could smell the do-gooder on him.

Sasha took a few steps closer and pointed up the tunnel the hunter came from. "She makes a nest in the buildings back that way. The tunnels don't have the flow of people she likes." Sasha looked around though. "If she's down here she's not close, the scavengers are down here this close to the surface -- looking for nearly dead." There was a market for fresh dead -- harvesting human body parts was a pastime for some old friends. "They work this path -- it's kept monster free cause it's a throughfare for a hunter on his rounds." This passage lead straight from the red light district to the old refugee camp and into the estates Nox's friends lived. There was a circuit everyone knew to avoid if you were looking for a fight, and knew to stay on cause they were safe.
