The more Calli spoke, the more interesting she became. She spoke of singing to plants to keep focused, but her mention of rousing them before spring spoke of something more. Another talent, perhaps. It was something interesting for sure. The analogy of a flower opening to the sun made sense in a way. It had sort of a Star Wars thing to it. She had to let the power flow through her. She also said a woman and Anton wondered if it was different for men, but all of that was beyond the point right now and were questions for later days.
"Well - you did have it for a bit. Maybe it did help." He gave her an encouraging smile. "And it sort of brings us around full circle. Focus - which I offered to help you with. I won't pretend I know anything about the Ascendant power - I don't - but focus is something I do understand - both as someone with my abilities and as a musician."
Anton steepled his fingers in thought. He had ideas, but was polite enough not to force them on Calli unless she wanted them. Offering unwanted advice was just rude. "I've worked with a lot of students over the years and would love to offer assistance if I can. If you would permit me, I can lead you through some exercises that might help you maintain focus even when those things come around to distract you. I can't guarantee results for your particular issue, but I'd be willing to try." Anton paused. "Of course, if you'd rather not, that is perfectly okay too. I will not impose myself. But the offer will always stand."
