[Anna]

Cade promised to keep her secret. It’s not like he had anyone to tell. Then he stood up to head to the bathroom. She watched appreciatively. He was built well. Damn - she was ready for a second round, but he stopped as he entered. Then asked her if she could see something.

She stood up, also not taking any covers and completely naked and walked over to see what he was talking about. What she saw made her gasp. ”That’s really creepy,” she said crinkling her nose at the weird substance.

She had never seen anything like it before. Something had left a creepy message on his mirror. That meant it was probably here. Anna grasped her power. She could be afraid, but strangely found herself more on edge than afraid. She looked around.

”Should ask your brother or Elyse about this,” they both knew about weird shit. Nox moreso, but Elyse was a hunter too - or had been. Did Cade know that about her? She couldn’t recall.

[Cade]

Cade nodded. "Yeah. This isn't the first time this has happened." Cade went back to his room. His phone was lying on the table next to the bed. "When I first got here I saw it too, figured it had always been in the room." It was weird and he hadn't thought about it since.

He snapped a picture and sent it to Nox. "He's not answering his texts so it might be a while. We probably shouldn't touch anything?" This was all very new to him. He still had to pee though. "I'm not crazy so that's good. But I still need to do what I came in here to do. I'll be out in a minute?" He said. "Though not sure the mood is still the same."

[Anna]

Anna nodded. They should probably leave it. She didn’t like that, but they probably should. It was just creepy. Of course, Cade did have to use the bathroom though, so she’d let him do what he needed to do. The mood wouldn’t be the same, which was unfortunate, but maybe they could build back to it.

”okay,” she said, turning around and giving him something to watch as she walked away. ”Could use some cuddles when you get out.” she had sold sex for years. She knew how to draw the male gaze to her.

Anna just laid down on the bed. They could cover with blankets when Cade got back. What the hell could do such a thing? Anna kept hold of her power, ready to use it should something come out for them. She didn’t know for sure what she would do, but surely she could do something.

[Cade]

Cade watched Anna walk away. He knew it was all part of the show and he shook his head. How did he feel about people looking at her like he just looked at her? They would look at Nox the same way. But that was different.

He didn't think about it too much as he left the bathroom and she was lying there naked in his bed no covers on. His reacted in a most visible way. She knew exactly how to entice a man.

He crawled on the bed and kissed her leg, then her knee and up. He could play the same game. He forgot about his prior thoughts -- it didn't matter right now. Right now he wanted to her to squirm and feel the pleasure he could give her the rest didn't matter.

Anna actually hadn’t been trying to get a second round. She had been honest about just having a cuddle and had kept the blanket off for ease of getting in, but as Anna thought of it, she probably had sent him signals. Not that she minded when he kissed the inside of her leg and began to move up. Thoughts of creepy messages were taken away by Cade’s touch. She sat up and pulled him to meet her lips, pressing hers to his.

Anna was good at communicating what she wanted, but she wasn’t selfish. She let him know what she wanted and gave him what he wanted in return. Once again, she was surprised at this. She hadn’t expected it at all, but she definitely liked it.

Round two was a bit more lazy. Just as good and just as fun.

The mood had returned as they collapsed in the bed and Cade pulled the dishevled covers from the floor and end of the bed and pulled them up around them. He collapsed backwards and breathless"Now what?" He didn't want to think about after when things went quiet. Hopefully it didn't go quiet too soon. The day was shifting into night and without the little sun they had, what were they going to do for warmth.

[Anna]

They took it a little more easy the second time. Ending their droughts had brought them more down to earth than they had been the first time. It was still amazing and Anna was still coming down from it. She could still feel waves of pleasure as she lay next to Cade breathing heavily. ”Dont know,” she said in response to his question. ”Think I’m gonna have trouble thinking for awhile.” she gave him a grin.

Anna moved close to him under the blanket. They were both warm. It would be getting dark soon. Then things might get difficult. Anna grabbed her power and wove fire and air around them to create a warm pocket of air around them. She tied it off as she had the light. That should help them with the warmth.

Her thoughts went back to the phantom writing. Was it in the apartment? Had it watched them have fun? ”Has your brother gotten back to you yet? I can ask Elyse if she knows anything.” Elyse wasn’t as knowledgeable as Nox, but she knew monsters too.

Cade didn't want to move but it was considerably warmer now that Anna had used her magic. Nox had a similiar trick he walked around all the time with him and the baby with no coats on. It was disconcerting to say the least.

But he reached over and grabbed his wallet and checked his messages. Nothing from his brother. "Nothing. And that's concerning." Cade popped off a text to the house AI and got a result of Nox's location. Not that it did Cade any good, but the accompanying message was he's fine. Cade wondered how many people had been asking if Nox was okay if he wasn't answering texts. "Sky says that he's okay, so that's good, but it's not helpful to our cause."

He put his wallet down on the table next to his bed and smiled. "If you think Elyse might have information. I mean other than being creepy I'm not too worried. Like I said it's happened before and nothing untoward happened. Granted I didn't stick around in the hotel long after that. And being watched is never not creepy. But I don't think whatever it is is going to hurt us -- it's warning me -- again."

[Anna]

Anna nodded. Nox not returning texts was concerning, but the house AI said he was alright. It kept pretty hefty tabs on him. The weird guy who designed it was worried about Nox all the time. Anna didn’t know Sage well, but Elyse was cool with him. He was certainly an odd duck though.

She snuggled in closer to Cade. He was very comfortable. ”I’ll send her a picture of it and see if she knows. It is creepy mostly and I also think it’s a warning, but why would whatever it is want you to go home. What’s it warning you from?”

Cade wasn’t terribly concerned, but she was. Not all warnings were friendly. ”Can’t hurt to ask Elyse. She knows things too, even if she isn’t as knowledgeable as Nox.” She reached across Cade to get her wallet. Her picture had a few comments. She couldn’t help but smile at some. Elyse’s was funny. Marta had sent a surprised pikachu gif. She quickly sent a message to Elyse about the strange message. They could wait for a reply.

”Was the hotel the only time it has happened. Anything weird on your way here? Or before that? she asked.
