Forced Withdrawals [Nox's Building]

[Marta]

Marta understood it all. It was things she had been told before. The fear was just always there. She squeezed Sterling's hands in appreciation. "Yeah - I know all that. I think I'm just scared because I actually want to be more than friends. I know...I know...go slow."

She sighed. She felt a lot better at least. "Yeah but what colors. And I'm totally up for a fashion show." she said, standing up. "You pick several and Sky will help me try it on, and instead of me making Jackson uncomfortable waiting for me to try on a dress, we can go dress shopping one day. I'm sure you could use a new one too."

[Sterling]

Sterling grinned. "You go as slow as you want." She was telling Marta to go as fast as she wanted -- slow or not. It wasn't what others thought she should do it was what she was best.

Sterling picked a few dresses and sent them to Sky. "Hey Sky can you project these so Marta and I can try them on?" They were strapless and revealing. Mostly for fun. They wouldn't ever be able to wear them for real -- unless there was some gala or party or something, but it was just fun.

[Marta]

There was something in Sterling's grin that told Marta she meant the opposite of what she said. Sterling wasn't telling her to rush though. She was telling her to go at her own pace. A pace that she felt good about and wouldn't freak her out. The difference was subtle, but it was there.

But it was time to try on virtual dresses now. It was kind of cool that Sky could do that. "I'll go first then," she said. Sky took the first dress that Sterling had picked, strapless and black in color. It projected onto Marta. As she moved, it followed her, giving a sense of what it would look like as she moved. Marta gave a spin. It was more revealing than she'd feel comfortable wearing in a group now, but in front of Sterling it was fine. The second one was similar but blue in color. The last was a red and the skirt was shorter than the other two. The red revealed more.

"What do you think?" Marta had asked the question after each one, and she really wanted to know. "I think my favorite is the red one." Marta was surprised that it was given her background, but she thought she looked really good in red. Elyse had mirror she used to check her outfits and Marta looked at herself in it.”Sky, can you give me a necklace with a ruby too. Marta gasped at her reflection. "Sterling...I'm pretty. I've never thought of myself as pretty before."

[Sterling]

Sterling watched as Marta tried on the dresses she picked. She was suprrised she had liked them. But she was up and behind Marta and wrapping her arms around her and hugging her tight. "You are always pretty. I'm glad you finally see it.' Sterling turned her around. "We should see if we can get some make up. I'm sure Nox has some downstairs." She grinned at Marta, Just for us."

"I'm gonna see what I can find, let Elyse know and maybe Nox has some. You pick out some dresses for me." She thrust Marta her wallet since she was already on a dress site. "I'll be right back."

Sterling popped out the door and went in search of Elyse. She could raid Nox's bathroom but girls probably had more variety than Nox's stash. "Elyse, do you have make up here?"

[Marta]

Marta leaned into the hug and smiled. It was a nice feeling like she was pretty. She gave a smile as Sterling mentioned make up. Marta had never worn make up before. She hadn't been old enough for it before her life had changed, and Ricky had no idea what he was doing with it. Seemed like now would be a good time. She briefly wondered where Ricky was stuck. At least she knew he was safe.

Marta took Sterling's wallet and found three dresses for her. She stuck with the strapless revealing theme that Sterling had chosen for her. Then Marta looked in the mirror again. She was still projecting her outfit. She smiled again and then she sat on Elyse's bed, waiting for Sterling to come back. She hadn't expected a make over today.

[Elyse]

Elyse was taking care of Lily. Lily had needed to be changed. It wasn't difficult, but it was a new experience for her. Soon enough the baby was taken care of and back to her normal self. Lily was more arms and legs with her than she was with Marta. It was odd. In Marta's arms she was all relaxed. Most of the adults were on the kitchen floor relaxing with drinks.

Sterling found her after awhile and asked for make up. Elyse grinned. They must be doing make overs. Elyse had no problems with that. "Sure thing. I'll show you where."

She shifted Lily in her arms and went upstairs. She found Marta there sitting on her bed with a projected strapless red dress on. Elyse stopped and looked at her as she stood and spun around. "What do you think?"

Elyse was surprised. It isn't the type of dress that she would have expected Marta to wear. "Red's a good color for you. It looks good! Very pretty!" she said.

Marta beamed. "I don't think I'm ready to wear this around boys - but here it's fine."

Elyse pulled out her make up kit and put it on her counter careful to keep Lily supported. "You ladies want my help with make up or you want to experiment on your own." Elyse was fine either way, but Lily would need to be handed off if they wanted her help.

[Sterling]

Sterling grinned. "Mom doesn't want me wearing makeup so I'll have to take it off before I go home. So I have no idea what we are doing but there are tons of vidoes we could watch, but you know how." It'd be funny if they got advice from Nox, though he was pretty new to it all too. And he was boring unlesshe was on stage.

The dresses Marta picked out were just as revealing. Her mom would pitch a fit, but it wasn't like she was gonna buy it and wear it. At least not yet. The first one was pink which clashes with her hair and was a bit too short -- probably needed a different color. Sterling saw a navy blue one of the same style and instead flipped it to that. "That's better." She spun around. But flicked it away and tried the next one, it was a purple one that showed a lot of skin. It was perfect. "Mon would throw a fit." She said as she spun around.

The next one was emerald green with no back and a stiff front. It was pretty and it looked good on her but she didn't feel she could move -- or she'd fall out of it.

"I like the purple one best. Maybe we can have a little prom like thing here. Since most everyone is homeschooled we'll miss it."

[Marta]

Marta agreed that the purple one was the best. She noticed Elyse’s scent shift to amused at what Sterling was saying about her mother. Most mothers wouldn’t approve, but Elyse didn’t seem to mind. Then again, they weren’t really wearing these dresses and certainly weren’t wearing them in public.

Elyse got out the make up and stood. ”Let me find someone to take care of Lily and I’ll show you ladies the basics. Maybe we can do some cool stuff too. And Sterling, we’ll help you take it off before you go home.” Elyse gave them a wink and she left. Liam would probably take Lily.

Marta gave Sterling a smile. ”We’re both pretty!” she said, standing up and giving a twirl again. ”The fact that Sky can do this is really cool.” She looked down at her dress and smirked. ”I think you’re having a bad influence on me!”

She sat back down as they waited for Elyse to come back. ”Prom idea sounds fun. Some sort of dance/date thing.” She grinned. ”Would have to go dress shopping for real.”

[Elyse]

It really didn’t take Elyse too long to find someone. She headed back to the room to find the girls sitting. ”So we can go a couple of ways with this. I can show you how to do the basics while helping you put it on yourself, or I can do it do you and explain what I’m doing. Either way is fine with me, but if you want to try some neat tricks, it might be better for me to do it until you’ve mastered the basics.”

She got into her kit and pulled out the moisturizer first. ”First step we can do easily enough though. It’s a moisturizer. You put it on just like sunscreen. Then we let it dry for a a few moments. While we’re waiting, you can tell me what kind of make up you want to do.”

Elyse applied her moisturizer and then handed the tube to Sterling to begin. Elyse wanted them to be happy with how they looked, but she wanted them to learn the way that worked best for them.
