Emily went to her wallet and was texting back and forth. He was sure it was Nox. Emily had her mind on the situation and was finding a way to deal with it. She would be okay. They all would be okay, it would just take time. Emily was just used to getting things now. The whole situation sucked, but Jared saw a bright side. Emily was going to have to learn to be patient.
She finished and yawned. ”Well I have Ashton’s number if we need anything. Think it’s time for bed,” she said. Jared leaned over and kissed her, letting it linger for awhile. ”You going to be up for a bit.”
Jared nodded. ”Yeah. I’ll get to work on an app that will allow us to control the music in her earbud without her interference. Shouldn’t take long and it will be a good distraction for me from the problem.”
Emily sighed and wrapped him in a hug, resting her head on his chest. ”Im sorry, I’ve been so wrapped up in how I’m dealing with this that I neglected that you’d be upset about it too.”
He chuckled. ”No need to be sorry. I was what you, Mara, and Rachel needed me to be at the time. I’ll process everything and will be fine. And if I need your help in that,” he kissed her softly. ”I’ll let you know. Now - you go rest. You’ve had a trying couple of days. Goodnight, my heart.”
Emily gave him a warm smile. Jared loved the way it made her green eyes sparkle. ”Goodnight, my love,”
She stood up and headed to bed. Jared got out his laptop and began to code. The process for making the app was rather simple, but he’d still likely be up most of the night. He had held it together. That’s what his family had needed at the time. Work let him process though, so he dove into it.
