A date for the carnival
#4
He had been thrilled to meet up with Lore over lunch. She was one of those rare people that actually radiated lightness and never had a dubious agenda. He had only met her briefly back home, but the moment left an impression. Which was why he readily agreed to meet her for lunch, catch up, and then accompany her for a well-earned night out on the city.

They were supposedly meeting a few other people downtown, but Matias didn’t bother to see who they were in advance, trusting Lore’s judgement of their character. It had been a long time since he engaged in actual fun. It didn’t quite come out as a proper date, but it was close enough to one that he was eager to meet them.

He sent a message when he arrived at their meeting place.
