What Now?

He couldn't help Sasha in the traditional sense and he'd tried to talk the man through the whole thing but it had done little good then. He doubted it would do him any good later either. But if the Atharim were hunting him. It made Nox wonder if he was the one who leveled the place he had bought for the new center for Second Chances. He didn't relay any of his thoughts to Oriena. She rarely appreciated his rambling. It would be an odd treat and Nox didn't have any uncomforatble or anxiety feelings in the silence -- there was nothing to feel. The silence was just that silence.

He finished his food, thinking about how he might help Ori and Sasha, but none of his musing escaped his mouth. When he did speak again it had nothing to do at all with his thoughts. "When I messaged you, it was before I was with Sasha, and I was jonesing hard for more than the punching bags could give me. I know this wasn't typical. I don't know when or if I'll need to call again. But I'm always up for whatever."

There was little preamble to him finding his clothes and sitting at the end of the bed to tug on his shoes afterwards. He looked back at her over his shoulder. "I don't like this feeling, but sometimes -- most of the time it's better than not being in control." He stood up and gave Oriena a fake smile, it was the best he could offer of his boyish charms. But he collected the gun and knife from the TV stand. "You know how to find me." He said with his hand on the door. Somehow it felt a little more final than usual as he hesitated to leave.
