Oriena watched her reaction curiously – she seemed more confused than contrite about losing control. But whatever had assailed her, it definitely seemed to have passed.
“You’re the one who ended up on your ass,” she said with a smirk. An apology held no interest, it wasn’t like Ori hadn’t been provoking a reaction, even if she got one she hadn’t expected. “But sure,” she said with a shrug. “I’m Oriena.”

Trinity was grateful there was no more retaliation. She wasn't exactly sure what had happened, much less why she was on her back aching in place she was never meant to ache. The insides of her gloves were shredded and blood had crusted on her face from whatever had transpired.
"Mia." She lied, well not really, that was the name that she was legally bound to. It's what her ident said, and what her dna would come back with. Trinity Shaw was dead.
"I need to clean up a little. And I'm new in town. Know any place close by -- or farther away, that works too. A place with a good vodka and whiskey?" Mia liked the fruity drinks, though Trinity preferred whiskey above all others. It would be best to frequent a place they could both find a decent drink.

Trinity wasn't surprised by the hole in the wall bar. Nor that the proprietor behind the bar gave Oriena a nasty look but said nothing. Nothing about the place surprised her, there were plenty of places around the world like it. It was a good place to do that sort of shady business that criminals liked to do. She didn't claim to be a good girl. Though she followed her orders. But there were no orders at the moment. This was Mia's time and she could get the girl back but that would be suspicious by far. At least now.
That strange voice in her head still hungered for blood, but it had quieted. "Whiskey on the rocks." she ordered and when she took that first long draw of the drink when it arrived the burn of the alcohol going down killed the rest of that strange voice that had spurred more feeling that she knew what to do with. "Seems the proprietor knows you. Past history?"

“Something like that.” Gus poured for them both and then left them to it. He didn’t need to ask Ori’s poison: the vodka was neat, the way all good Russians drank it, and he left the bottle within reach. She took a long draw, the chill of the glass against her fingers at odds with the burn as the alcohol slipped down her throat. Her thoughts turned to the packet in her pocket: the one Sasha had left in payment. It’d speed the process to something numb, but the memory only twitched a sneer to her lips. Turned out, even after getting knocked senseless by her new friend, she was still fucking angry about that.
After a moment her attention veered to her companion, just the slide of her eyes really; she didn’t move on her stool. Oriena wasn’t in a particularly friendly mood, and Mia looked hard as nails but not particularly fun. “So what’s your deal?”

Trinity didn't know what to say to the question so she downed her drink and waved for another one. "Not much to tell. I don't know what happened. Just here looking for a job." which wasn't exactly a a lie, but it wasn't exactly the truth. Mia wasn't looking for a job, she really didn't have much of a skill set outside of being a pretty face. She was here waiting for her job, and Mia was just that cover.

“Sure.”
Ori smirked, though it was an expression mostly to herself. If Mia wasn’t going to at least make the conversation interesting, then Ori had no real desire to fill the silence with inanities just to be polite. The answer smelled of bullshit. None of it was Ori’s business of course, and neither did she have much inclination to make it so. Not for secrets anyway. But maybe to expose some pain.
She leaned a little closer. “I let a guy fuck me, because I liked him and I liked the moment. It was a shit lay, actually, except that he was very keen to please. I passed out. When I woke up he was gone, and he’d left payment, like I was some kind of cheap fucking whore.” She gave a short, bitter laugh. It cut deeper than it should have done, but then it was a wound the ijiraq had been pressing on since their possession of her. Ori’s use was transactional; she was easily reduced to worthlessness.
She tilted the vodka glass, still mostly full. “That’s my excuse, sweetheart, and I’m not the one down one and onto the second already.” It wasn’t from kindness she spoke; Ori wasn’t a confessional, and neither was she confessing. It was pure goad. A smirk twisted her lips as she took a slip and placed her glass back down. “I’ve seen that kind of look before. Pure rage. Nothing human. It’s not something pretty squatting in your head.”
