Manix Re: your ships

well y'all done figure it out, don't need me. lol. Manix being the Captain of "The Storm Wind" he would always be in contact even when he had his 1st mate running her. IN one of my early post I talked about their shallow draft, so the could navigate some larger rivers.

"The Rage" may not be able to get up the river, need to look at a real life nautical map to work the math, but there are plenty of shuttle boats for supplies, and as far as communication, easy peasy in 2046

"The Rage" is a "Defense" ship not a war ship. the "battle ship" was in quotes referring to her crew and so hidden armament. I no be looking like a war ship, it was constructed to blend in with the Merchant side of the Lir family business, the real power is in the highly trained crew.

Yes but manifests must be declared and such you can't exactly hide from the port authorities unless you are doing it illegally.

The Lir Family have spent generations on the sea, so they do know "friendly" ports. More important, they would know how to manipulate any manifest need. When "The Rage" arrives all this is going to be covered.

Quit worrying so much, if you see a mistake when it arrives feel free to let me know

I think he's saying the real power in the Rage is the crew. They are battle ready. Not that he's transporting weapons on board.

"The Rage's" full story is still being written. This input all helps. Jay is right about the crew but i plan on some sort of hidden weaponry. In the now "2016" there is a serious pirate problem, so in 2046 I've seen nothing that says that piracy had ended. I would wager most major shipping companies has similar vessels as "The Rage"

I see that. Damn dirty pirates!

Probably won't get anything with weapons close to Moscow but trying to smuggle it in may be a fun thread.

It sounds like Capt Lir has some control over arms. While not a military per say, if you control military might in the form of trained men or weapons or in this case ships, a campaign sheet should be filled out. Here's a link to the instructions and a sample campaign sheet. Just fill out as much info or detail as you can. This makes it more fair for the players.

Obviously stories and such don't need to be known since those develop over time. This is more about the hard facts. The more detail the better, but it doesn't have to be a novel.

You'll see what other people have posed too.
