Early Life
Amelia Thorne was born to the noble house of Thorne in Caemlyn. As a child, she wanted for nothing. She was the second oldest child of four, but the oldest of the three girls, and she spent much of her time learning the ways of the house and how to be a proper noble woman. Her life would change when at age thirteen, her parents sent her to be tested by a traveling Aes Sedai. After it was determined she could channel, she was sent to the White Tower to become Aes Sedai. The goodbyes were both tearful and exciting as she was sad to be leaving her family, but excited to become Aes Sedai.
Journey to the White Tower
At the tower, she was to meet another Andoran – Corele Taravin – a friend she had before Corele had headed off to the Tower a couple of years earlier. They reunited, and began to study often together, reigniting a friendship.

Growing up as a noble girl in Andor, Amelia was a model student as both a Novice and Accepted. She was adept at the Game of Houses even if she hated playing it, but she still played knowing that not playing still meant that you were.
Amelia was raised to the shawl rather quickly – in sixteen years and chose the Ajah, picking up the cause of charity. She traveled often to arrange charity drives for those less fortunate. Her main goal was to help the needy and to build prosperity amongst the various nations of the world. She’s not one to celebrate violence, but understands its need.

Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah
She had one warder – an Illianer named Eavin Veras. Like many Warders of long-lived Sedai, he passed quietly of old age. A friend a companion, she mourned him, but never saw the need to take another warder.
Amelia made her way back to Tar Valon several times as an Aes Sedai, and in general it was for more important events. The two most notable were her friend and sister, Corele’s, elevation to keeper and her funeral.
She continued to travel, making her way back to Andor when it began seeking a replacement for Morgase. For the first time in nearly a century, she found herself at her ancestral home, seeing her family. She didn’t know many of them, but they knew of her and welcomed her. She arranged for charity for the refugees in Caemlyn during this troubled time and encouraged her houses support of House Trakand to the Lion Throne.
With tensions rising, Amelia is concerned about the potential of the Last Battle coming soon. Battles were rampant. She began to wonder if she would need another Warder. War and fighting led to refugees and an increase in those needing shelter. She found herself heading the Shienar. The blight had been eerily quiet and that worried her. Perhaps there she could help as events became increasingly volatile.
