The Mubarrik are a rare and dangerous class of djinn. They offer powers to those desperate enough to seek them out. They are often drawn to those who make wishes out loud, those so desperate they would take help from whatever hand offered them, and other moments of indecision where a soul teeters between paths. They feed off the chaos of disrupted destinies. And when they tire of playing with you, they snuff you out.
A Mubarrik granted wish can follow you and your children and their children on going until the Mubarrik bores of your family. Your wish is granted perfectly towards your desire, and everything seems great, at first, but then your luck turns bad. Things start happening and ultimately you are worse off than you were — Death the only thing that seems like an end to the maddening life you now are forced to live.
