Hello!
Wouldn't have thought it's close enough to Scotland to have any influence, but I've never been that way either so I'm hardly an authority [Image: 18.png] The accent in Newcastle v Yorkshire is definitely distinct though.

Yeah truth is that I was going to say between Newcastle and York but I'm not nearly as fond of the Newcastle accent so I just buried my head in the sand a bit [Image: 9.png]

Nox - do you feel the urge to have a conversation on the intricate comparisons of southern -creole-French-Texan-Hispanic accents now? Or am I the only one?

lol, I was thinking about all the various new york accents I ran across while living on Long Island the distinct brooklyn accent versus someone who lived in queens or staten island. I've become so accustom to the southern speak that I hardly notice the difference unless they are cajun and I can't understand a damn word they said at all.

Lol I grew up in the suburbs of Atlanta so if you want to talk about southern accents I'm game [Image: 2.png]
