Alyona Daylar Aurorae
Alonya lived in the Age of Legends, born originally in Adanza, but later residing in Paaran Disen. Most of her history is long lost, even the reasons for her honourable third name forgotten. She is enshrined only for her great beauty, the man who loved her, and her horrific death.
Courtship
Alyona was pursued by two notable suitors.
Bayrd was a severe and humourless man who nonetheless began a careful and ardent courtship after they first crossed paths. He was the moonless night to Alyona’s sunshine, and she was arrested with his quietness even as she didn’t quite know what to do with it. By increments she discovered layers beneath his hard exterior, and the mystery captivated her slowly but surely. He was so distant with everyone else, yet with her he revealed the stirrings of another man. It was a man she began to think she might be able to one day love. For a while they grew closer, much to the bemusement of Alyona’s friends and colleagues, who never understood her attachment.

Only then she met Lews Therin, whose relationship with Elowen Merena was just beginning to sour. His gregarious nature was entirely different to Bayrd’s, his warmth a stunning match for her own. He didn’t court but claimed, as though their union had always been destined. She cannot remember a time with Lews when he did not naturally act as though they had known each other their entire lives, and she felt the same. Before Elowen had even had time to sheathe the claws of her jealousy, they were married.
Home and Hearth
Once she had been destined for greatness of her own. By the time she met Lews, Alyona had already achieved her third name, and was both respected and revered in her own right. But for Lews, Alonya extinguished her own ambitions. Not that he ever asked or expected it of her. Rather, her focus naturally shifted after they were married, and she considered them a united force with united goals and desires. Her word and counsel still carried weight in their world, and she was still beloved, but she aligned herself with the Dragon ever after, and remained content in his shadow while they changed the world.

As a wife and mother Alyona was known for her parties and gatherings, being a much loved hostess. Their house was always one filled with light and love, with a steady stream of friends and relatives always in and out. Amongst them was the much lauded illusionist Jole Addam Messosin, as well as members of the Hall of Servants Lews served at the head of.
She always supported the Dragon ardently, which by the time of the Collapse had begun to put her at odds with his opposition. Alinur Sarin Drenai was particularly vocal, until the day he finally declared his new allegiances. The Dragon’s victories against him included a battle at the very gates of Paaran Disen during the War of Power. Though Alyona wanted to fight in the war, she did not; instead Lews sequestrated her and the children away in safety, and she was not present to warn of the shifting jealousies in the trusted generals around him, including that of Bayrd.
Death
After Lews and the Hundred Companions sealed the Bore on the Dark One’s prison, the counterstroke by the Dark One tainted saidin and caused all the male channelers to go insane. Due to his proximity, the effect on Lews was immediate and devastating. He returned home and proceeded to slaughter his family in an insane frenzy, leaving their bodies strewn throughout his palatial home. Alyona died desperately trying to protect their children, and was cut down by the man she had devoted her life to.
Later healed of his madness by the Forsaken Eshamir so he could truly comprehend his horrific actions, Lews drew too much of the One Power and killed himself, causing the creation of Dragonmount and inadvertently diverting the river Erinin to create what in a later Age became known as the island of Tar Valon.
As the memory embedded to scar Lews with echoes of it in later rebirths, so too did it scar Alyona in later lives from trusting in love.
