Learned or sparked?
#1
So Cali is supposed to be a learner.

My intention with her in the Chamber of Echoes ritual was that the ritual itself (coupled with a little past life influence) was what finally guided her to channel. She had tried multiple times in the past, unsuccessfully.

At the moment she does not understand what she's done, but she will when she repeats the process, guided this time by Seraphis.

Does that work for the rules of learners? Or did she just spark?

My preference is that she remains a learner. In part because it's more symbolic for her character, but also because it means it's something that can then be discovered and allow other learners to learn.

So, did she learn or did she spark? What do you guys think?

I think it fits a learner. She didn't do it on her own, it was coaxed from her which is sorta what the stone does for the Aes Sedai.

To me sparks happen out of some internal need to do something, and your body/mind can't help but reach for this power.

I agree with Nox. She was guided through something, so I think that counts. It does remind me of Moiraine guiding the girls using her jewel.

Learned or sparked? Whats the difference?

Just kidding.
"So?" said Loki impatiently.  "This isn't the first time the world has come to an end, and it won't be the last either."
