RP Settings in Moscow

Organised by interest not by location. These are specific, regularly used places, or ones which have connections to PC characters. The list is not exhaustive and you are welcome to use your own locations, as well as more general locations or districts in Moscow, more for which can be found on the various sub-boards on the forums.

Nightclubs and Bars

• Manifesto; Moscow’s premier nightclub, haunt of the rich and famous
• Zaranitsa’s Dream; clestial themed nightclub in Nebesa’s Gate casino. A place to score the cult drug P
• Devil’s Lair; a cult-status nightclub known for its all night raves. Discover by word of mouth. A place to score cult drug P
• Radiance Hotel & Suites; prestigious hotel including a rooftop bar owned by Adrian Kane
• Empyrean; upscale table-service bar inside Nebesa’s Gate casino. Live piano. A taste of an older era.
• Apex Lounge; a sophisticated and luxurious bar located at the top of one of Moscow’s many impressive skyscrapers.
• The Hole; a dive bar in a poor, mostly residential district of Moscow
• Harbour House: dive bar located in London
• Safe Harbour: new dive bar in the Red Light District of Moscow

Entertainment

• Carnival; a series of several tents and open buildings sitting next to the Moskva river. Various traditional entertainments available, including the haunted attract The Veil’s Embrace
• Rubik Rooms; offers excursion tours into the Underground’s secret blood-soaked levels. Also escape room vaults and various horror themed live-theatre encounters. There are rumours of deeper, invitation only levels.
• Almaz; underground fight club. Cash or favour grants admittance. Discover by word of mouth
• Nebesa’s Gate; biggest and most popular casino in Moscow, run by the Vasiliev family
• Kallisti; popular burlesque house in the red light district
• Kistyami; posh strip club in the Tagansky District in Moscow
• Companion Clubs; run by a Covenant of organised crime
  • “Hikari” – Arbat Street, Enlightenment District
  • “Kaizen” – Moscow City Business District, Adjacent to the Radiance Hotel
  • “Sakura Noir” – Patriarch Ponds, Central District
  • “Yūrei” – Red October Industrial River District
  • “Nocturne” – Red Light District

Cafes and Restaurants

• Artskaf; small coffee house in Arbatskaya, right on the main thoroughfare of Old Arbat. Cute and cosy
• Bottom of the Cup Cafe; a New Orleans style cafe and restaurant in the Greater Moscow area (Just one block away from Arbat Street in Old Arbatskaya) owned and operated by Rowan Finnegan. 
• Igor’s; family business run by the Perov Family
• Estella; Italian restaurant inside Pestovo County Club, reserved for members and their guests
• Elysian; restaurant inside Nebesa’s Gate, 5*
• Turandot Restaurant; high end restaurant and social club located on Tverskaya Boulevard, about a 5-10 minute drive to the northwest of the Kremlin within Moscow’s central district. Pan-Asian cuisine.

Sport and Recreation

• Gracie’s Gym; a gym that regularly hosts MMA fighters. One of the trainers, Charlie, has links to old-school fight clubs.
• Red Star Combat Sports Club; known by the members simply as Red Star. It caters primarily to the martial arts training communities. It’s high end, high quality, and members only
• The Monkey King’s School of the Mystical Arts; owned and operated by the famous actor Li Tan. The school has three martial arts classes for children and two adult classes that focus on various Martial Arts that Li has been known to use in his movies.
• Pestovo Country Club; located on Nikolskaya Street, surrounded by the city but without all the city bustle. Golf course, yacht club, club house and restaurant. Members only.
• Filevsky Park; a large public park in western Moscow. It stretches over 700 acres, and runs alongside the Moskva river for 5km.

Shopping

• Glavnyi universalnyy magazin (GUM); shopping centre. Due to its proximity to the Kremlin and other affluent areas of the central Moscow districts, it is considered the most upscale place to shop in the city. Various cafes etc inside, as well as designer shops.

Government Facilities (restricted access)

• Kremlin; includes public and restricted areas, see page for info
• The Garden; codename for a 100 acre CCD military compound located approximately 65 miles northeast of Moscow proper. It is part research base, training facility, weapons development and an active-duty base of operations for the Rods of Dominion commanded by Michael Vellas. 
• The Facility; a secret base of operations accessed by only those with highest levels of security clearance granted by the Ascendancy
• Butryka detention center; a prison notorious for overcrowding. Located near the center of Moscow, just north of the Kremlin. Access to the main entrance is available through unmarked passageways wide enough for only one vehicle at a time.

Other Businesses and Miscellaneous

• Paragon; medical and research company specialising in cutting-edge nanotech and human augmentation and enhancement. It lays its roots in reconstructive surgery, and pioneered the use of bionic limbs. HQ in central Moscow. Open to the public.
• Durante Securities: Home and Business software/hardware security company specializing in round the clock cloud facilities for storage of feeds, alerts to authorities and specialized car. Online facility with one office located in the Red Light District of Moscow.
• Borealis Industries: software company specializing in custom holographic and projection interfaces and programs to ease the working life. Online facility with one office located in the Red Light District of Moscow.
• Jivana Industries: medical equipment and research facilities. Headquarters in Madrid Spain, R&D currently located in Moscow.
• Vaia Plus: former medical experts partnered with the WHO to eradicate the common cold, studying the sickness among other things. Most of their funding and research has been lost since their Headquarters and the online backups were destroyed in a fire.

Religious Venues & Outreach

• The Sanctuary of the Ascendant Flame; home of the Brotherhood who promote worship of the Ascendancy. Open recruitment
• Three Trinities Haven Church; an abandoned church in a vastly poor area of the outskirts. Reported home of the Angel of the Undercity. Welcomes the destitute
• Second Chances; help for homeless, run by Anastasia Vega (more info TBC)

General Channeler Havens

• Belizna; school catering to female channelers. Established by Natalie Northbrook.
• Kallisti; provides instruction and safety for male and female channelers
• The Monkey King’s School of the Mystical Arts; provides instruction for male channelers
• The Garden; home of the Dominions. Caters to male channelers. Restricted access.
• The Sanctuary of the Ascendant Flame; provides instruction and sanctuary for male and female channelers

Atharim and Reliquiae Associated

• The Baccarat Mansion; HQ for the original Atharim, resource for Atharim-loyal characters. Located at 19 Nikolskaya street in Moscow, one block from the Red Square. Also a possible venue to be recruited to the Reliquiae
• Almaz; fight club with Reliquiae associations, possible place to be recruited
• The Monkey King’s School of the Mystical Arts; dojo with Reliquiae associations, possible place to be recruited
• Harbour House: dive bar located in London with a no-weapons cache safe house for Atharim funded by the Sebastian family
