Green Ajah

“…to be a Green means to stand ready. In the Trolloc Wars, we were often called the Battle Ajah. All Aes Sedai helped where and when they could, but the Green Ajah alone was always with the armies, in almost every battle. We were the counter to the Dreadlords. The Battle Ajah. And now we stand ready, for the Trollocs to come south again, for Tarmon Gai’don, the Last Battle. We will be there. That is what it means to be a Green.”

—Alanna Mosvani
Lythia Sedai, Captain-General

The Green Ajah holds itself ready for Tarmon Gai’don, the final battle between good and evil when the Dark One inevitably breaks free from his prison. They were called the “Battle Ajah” during the Trolloc Wars and are excellent generals who can plan effective battle strategies. They bond as many Warders as they wish, and have been on friendly terms with the Blue Ajah for more than 2000 years.

The head of the Green Ajah is known as the Captain-General. Currently this title is held by Lythia Krean.

Recent Events

Following Lythia Sedai’s Turning (an act instigated by Arikan in retaliation for his capture and torture, using the ter’angreal that once Turned him also to the Shadow in the previous Age), the Green Ajah – and indeed the Tower itself – has come under an insidious and powerful influence. After being the whispered force behind the fall of both the White and Black Tower’s leadership, Lythia has recently been elevated to the rank of Forsaken, under the new name of Sylvena.

She continues to exert control and influence upon the new Amyrlin Seat, Kekura din Anor of the Red Ajah, and is systematically ensuring that attention is pulled away from the Borderlands, and more importantly the activities in the Blight.

The Greens are divided, some uncomfortable with the brewing war against the Seanchan, and some eager for the action. However Lythia is so loved and trusted a leader, even those with doubts remain quiet, trusting her direction.
